Advertiser Disclosure

PointsCraft earns a commission if you’re approved for cards we link to. We only recommend cards we’d suggest without that commission. This page explains exactly how that works, what it does and doesn’t influence, and where you’ll see it disclosed.

How we make money

Some links to credit cards on this site and in the PointsCraft iOS app are affiliate links. If you click one and are approved for the card, the issuer or an affiliate network may pay us a commission. You pay nothing extra, and the card terms you receive are identical to applying directly.

We do not run display advertising in the iOS app, and we never sell user data. Affiliate commissions and an optional paid tier are the only ways PointsCraft earns money.

What the commission does not influence

  • Which cards exist in our catalog. We track 130+ US cards, including many that pay us nothing and some that have no affiliate program at all.
  • Benefit data, values, and reset cycles. These come from issuer terms and are maintained the same way regardless of whether a card is monetized.
  • Our Annual Fee Verdict. The Keep / Downgrade / Cancel recommendation runs on your own usage data. It will tell you to cancel a card we earn a commission on, because that’s the honest answer.
  • Comparison and “best for” rankings. Ordering reflects the stated criteria on each page, not payout.

If a card is genuinely the right answer for your situation, we say so whether or not it pays us. If we wouldn’t recommend it to someone who could earn us nothing, we don’t recommend it at all.

Where you’ll see this disclosed

  • On this website: a disclosure appears near the top of every page that carries an affiliate link, before the link itself.
  • In the iOS app: every surface with an Apply button shows the disclosure above it — card discovery, card setup, the Annual Fee Verdict, and coverage-gap recommendations.

This is consistent with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission’s Endorsement Guides (16 CFR Part 255), which require clear and conspicuous disclosure of material connections.

Card terms and accuracy

Card details — annual fees, credits, earning rates, welcome bonuses — change often, and issuers do not always announce changes. We maintain the catalog continuously and surface a last-verified date, but always confirm current terms on the issuer’s own page before applying. PointsCraft is not a bank, is not affiliated with any issuer, and does not issue credit cards.

Nothing on this site or in the app is financial advice. Applying for a credit card affects your credit profile. Decide based on your own circumstances.

Editorial independence

No issuer or affiliate network reviews, approves, or has any input into our content before it’s published. We’ve never accepted payment to include, exclude, or reposition a card, and we won’t.

Questions

Email support@pointscraft.com if anything here is unclear, or if you think a recommendation looks influenced by a commission. We’d rather hear it.
